Rice with lemon, honey and thyme

  • 250 g. bomba rice
  • 1 white onion
  • 100 ml. lemon juice
  • half lemon\'s zest
  • 4 tbsp G&J honey
  • a few fresh thyme leaves        
  • water
  • oil
  • salt
Rice with lemon, honey and thyme


Chop the tender part of the onion and fry it slowly in a frying pan with olive oil. Put salt and pepper and wait for the onion to become soft and transparent. Add the rice, sauting for a few minutes and add the lemon juice. Let the rice cook for a few minutes and start adding boiling water to allow the rice to become tender. When you see that the rice is at its point, meaning tender and creamy (tat about 20 minutes), add the honey, the thyme and the lemon zest. Add salt and pepper to taste and let it rest for 5 minutes off the fire with the pan covered.
